Casa do Celeiro
Situated in the hills above the picturesque village of Almoçageme, Casa do Celeiro is a rambling, rustic farmhouse, with living space and studios arranged around a central courtyard. The beautiful grounds of the Casa include gardens, an orchard, terraces, a swimming pool and panoramic views of the Atlantic. Behind the property, there is a freely accessible nature reserve with hiking trails and spectacular vistas.
Guest Accommodation
Accomodation for up to eight people can be configured in various ways. In total, there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms available. (See Bookings for more information on pricing options.) The main guest house, also known as “The Cottage”, is a self-contained two-story home with two twin bedded rooms upstairs which share a bathroom and a third bedroom on the ground floor with sofa bed, child’s bed, cot and bathroom in hall. “The Annex” across the courtyard has a double bed with bathroom ensuite.
The Cottage
The ground floor of the Cottage has a well equipped eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, iron & ironing board. The kitchen is linked by an arch to the living room which has a wood burning fireplace, satelite TV, DVD player and piano. The front door leads to a private terrace and BBQ area with a glorious view over the grounds and out to the ocean.

Note: The Cottage is suitable for a family of 6 and the Annex which is independent and across the courtyard is perfect for a larger group of 8. All rooms have night storage heaters and the Annex also has a wood burning stove. The house is comfortably rustic with many idiosyncrasies and is stimulating and exciting for children (as well as adults!). No smoking in the house please.

The Grounds
A beautiful 8-meter round swimming pool and terrace is situated above the courtyard, surrounded by gardens, accessible from the upstairs greenhouse and stone steps at the side of the house. In front of the house, opposite the main entrance is a stone terrace covered with a pergola with grapevines. This is a perfect area for BBQ, sunning and relaxing. Steps lead from this terrace to a garden with lawn and fruit trees. The terrace and pool both have panoramic views of the sea, the village and fields.







Other Amenities
Sheets, duvets, and towels are provided. For guests staying longer than a week, cleaning is provided weekly. There is a large sunny conservatory on the upstairs level of the Cottage which is useful for hanging clothes and a quiet place to read. There are two bikes on the premises for guests’ use, and a wireless broadband internet connection is available.
