Artist Groups
Artist groups (2-6) are welcome to self-catering lodging and use of studio space in Casa do Celeiro from September to April. Sintra has always been an inspiring place for artists. A king´s retreat from hot Lisbon summers, the wooded mountains of Sintra now a World Heritage site provide tranquility, natural beauty and stunning views of the coast, the hills and rolling farmland.
Well situated one hour from Lisbon, other less well known towns and villages include Cascais, Sintra Vila, Evora, Obidos, Estremoz, Mafra and Ericeira to name a few. The Cottage and annex are described with photos under the heading ´The Casa´ and prices are under ‘Booking‘.
Maximum group size is 6, minimum 2. As an artist and teacher I would be willing to offer classes but am also happy to have artists work on their own. The studio has two connecting rooms, one with sink and printing press (50 x 90cm) with 16m2 and the other spacious and light with 21m2. Please inquire if you wish more information.
